Job Description

Senior Project Manager to oversee the conception, implementation, and analysis of product-related projects. The successful candidate will have a background in collaborating across multiple departments, meeting deadlines, driving projects and will have an extensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. The candidate will serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. She or he will plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage and monitor progress to assure deadlines and standards are met. We’re looking for a responsible, articulate and motivated Senior Project Manager who can quickly identify vulnerabilities and obstacles and create innovative solutions to any problems. This role reports to the VP of Product, and is an essential part of our nimble and fierce Chute Product team.

Our product team uses software and tools including: Pivotal, Basecamp, Smartsheets, and random scraps of paper to organize our work. This Senior Project manager should be competent across a wide variety of organization tools not just limited to the ones we’re using now, but bringing new perspectives and organizational mastery to our team. At the same time, we’re not going to get into dogmatic discussions of Waterfall vs. Agile. We’re too busy for that, and prefer to get s**t done.


  • Develop and update project plans for engineering projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, and staffing.
  • Lead projects to completion.
  • Provide product team with feedback, encouragement and advice.
  • Troubleshoot problems that come up during projects.
  • Communicate project objectives to all team members involved.
  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Confer with product personnel to identify and resolve problems.


  • Collaborate with others to resolve issues.
  • Collect data about customer needs.
  • Develop detailed project plans.
  • Develop guidelines for system implementation.
  • Develop communication procedures.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
  • Prepare analytical reports.
  • 4+ years Project management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
